Here Is Why Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan Was Facing Trouble In Pakistan!

Bajrangi (1)After creating a new record for itself in the Indian continent, Salman Khan starrer film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has received criticism and different point of views in the neighboring country Pakistan and is yet again in news for the same.
The film which deals with the two nations and their positive outlooks has since its release faced hurdles as it deals with the sensitive relations of two nations India and Pakistan. The film has undoubtedly gained a tremendous response in the country and is witnessing house full boards even after the weekend.
Coming to Pakistan, according to sources, the real reason why the film was stopped from being released there on the festive occasion was that apparently two big films from the Pakistani Film industry were to be released namely Bin Roye and Wrong Number. The films were crucial for the country’s film industry and therefore the hassles with the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Also earlier, Bollywood films have been blamed for the low business of Pakistani films in their own country.

Nevertheless, the hurdles are a passe and the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has released with great oomph in the neighboring nation too. The Salman – Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer movie is receiving an enormous rush to the cinemas and is running successfully.
Before this stance, it was also said that Bajrangi Bhaijaan is facing problems in its release in Pakistan because of the copyright problem of the Qawwali song, “Bhar Do Jholi Meri”. However all speculations have died and the movie got a smooth release in Pakistan.
With a strong plot and a sensitive take, Kabir Khan directorial film has won the audience. The movie also stars actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artist Harshaali Malhotra apart from Salman and Kareena. The movie depicts an emotional journey of a little girl who crosses the border unknowingly and lands in India. Apart from Dabangg Khan’s simplistic image; the audience is head over heels for the little girl Harshaali who plays the character of Munni.

Pakistan is a country which has no dearth of talented people but there is without any doubt a shortage of platforms where these people can showcase their talent. Geo TV’s initiative “Are You Ready To Be A Star” is all encompassing because there is no age barrier and people having any kind of talent can be a part of this talent hunt. Those gifted performers who are shortlisted by Geo’s team which composes of judges who are leading in their fields will polish the skills of these people even further and will give a kick start to their career by including them in projects which will ensure that their talent is seen by all.
Geo TV has done something which is rather original by going to different educational institutions and letting the students there have an opportunity to show what they have got. So Geo is not making these people come to them but it is going to them which means that they are looking out for the interest of those who want to be stars just as much as their own. Until now the team of “Are You Ready To Be A Star” has gone to leading institutions in Lahore like Kinnaird College, LUMS and Beaconhouse National University.

Box Office: Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s First Wednesday Business!

Box-office (2)Salman Khan has yet again proved it that his films don’t need weekends to do a majestic business at the Box Office as the film still continues to pull in big figures even on its 6th day at the Box Office. Directed by Kabir Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is still going strong and doing a fabulous business in the country. On its first Wednesday, the film earned 18.20 crore net (182 million) approx. at the Box Office which is superb if compared to any other this year’s Bollywood film’s business on the same day.

Even though the EID factor is easing, the film is still smashing records at the Box Office with its smooth run. Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan saw a little fall on its day 6 as the collections on Tuesday were more than Wednesday. On Tuesday (day 5), Barjangi Bhaijaan collected Rs. 21 crore net (210 million) approx. at the Box Office and a day later, the film saw a fall of Rs.Rs. 2.80 crore. However, if compared to the numbers Bollywood’s Dabangg Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan pulled in on its first day at the Box Office, the film only saw a fall of 30% around or so in the collections at the Box Office on Wednesday, which isn’t that bad.
The action drama film is running smoothly and fantastically in places like Mumbai, Delhi, UP, Punjab, HP, Hyderabad, Gujarat and Pune. The film already drove past 100 crore mark on its first weekend itself. This coming Friday, the film will complete its first week run at the Box Office and we are looking forward for Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s total first week collections to chart in. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra. Audiences absolutely loved Salman Khan’s soft hearted character in the film, along with Nawazuddin and Harshaali’s mind blowing performance.
More News From PAK,

The interested candidates will be registered from 9 to 11 am and the auditions will start after that. Even kids can take part in this talent hunt program.
Geo’s attempt to find talent in every nook and corner of Lahore has proved to be a very successful exercise till now and people are waiting for their team to make their presence felt in other cities of Pakistan as well. This is not the first time that Geo has tried to give an opportunity to people to bring their talent to light. We appreciate Geo’s effort and hope that other television channels will follow their lead!

NEWS PAK,
To be honest, this article is a result of the discussion that followed after one of my comments in Diyar-e-Dil’s review regarding the child stars & their pakka-pan that gets way more coverage than it’s required in our drama these days. That discussion actually got me thinking about how much we are forced to get annoyed by watching these annoying kids on screen who have no purpose to be there in a drama in the first place. Before saying anything I just want to make it clear that this article by no means is written to defame or belittle all these young actors that we often see in different dramas but it’s actually targeted at the pakka-pan that their characters embody & portray. I do appreciate their acting skills & their charm but the roles that these kids get to play & the dialogues they get to deliver aren’t very impressive & this article is strictly based on their on-screen performances.

Revealed: 26/11 Masterminds To Play Villains In Saif Ali Khan And Katrina Kaif Starrer Phantom

Phantom
Phantom is Sajid Nadiadwala‘s upcoming action thriller which revolves around global terrorism. The film is an adaptation of S. Hussain Zaidi’s recent novel (with Gabriel Khan), Mumbai Avengers. The film has been shot in Lebanon, Syria, the UK, Canada and India. Indian locations include Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab’s Malerkotla.
The espionage drama featuring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif wrapped up in Mumbai, last September.
Phantom involves pivotal characters that have been named after David Headley and Sajid Mir and two others modelled on Hafiz Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi
The film is based on the series of 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks in Mumbai which took place on November 26, 2008 ,which continued for the next four days and was led by Ten members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Ajmal Kasab one of the 10 terrorists captured alive was hanged on November 21, 2012. But many of the masterminds got away.

Headley, the Pakistani-American LeT terrorist, is currently serving a 35-year-sentence but Sajid Mir, who allegedly was Headley’s handler, has vanished. According to intelligence provided by the Mossad, he is holed up in Muridke near Lahore.
The mastermind of the 26/11 attacks, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, is also supposed to be living in a safe house near Lahore.
In Hussain’s novel, five years after the attacks, a retired army officer spearheads a covert mission with a team of daredevil agents to seek out and kill these terror masterminds, one by one, making sure that the assassinations look like natural deaths. The best-selling author has collaborated on the screenplay and the terror suspects have found their way into the fictional plot. These include David Headley and Sajid Mir.
A spokesperson confirms the news and says,“Yes, there are characters named after both these men. He is one of the four main villains in the film, but his name has been changed to Sabauddin Umvi. One of the other bad guys is modelled after Hafiz Saeed, the founder of the banned Lashkar-eTaiba which carried out the audacious attacks. However, to ensure that the content doesn’t get too explosive and there are no diplomatic issues with Pakistan, the makers have prudently decided to change his name to Harif Saeed. But viewers will be left in little doubt about who these two characters are inspired by.
Sorry to say, the way the writers use the child stars in our dramas is actually an exploitation of their innocence. I say that because they are made to speak such dialogues which they might not even know the meaning of, but are so mature that they don’t go with their biological age. In so many dramas, kids are made a part of the conversation or if not actively, they are always present in such scenes which are covering some mature topics by having such sort of conversations & that makes me wonder what these kids must be learning in such an environment. I also believe that the writers try to push the fact that kids are ‘innocent’ & in their innocence spree, they can go around saying anything they feel like but to be honest, kids are impressionable & their involvement just doesn’t stop when their scene is over. The kids who tend to be around their mothers when they’re watching such dramas are drawn towards such characters & they actually end up picking up a thing or two because kids tend to connect with those they see on screen who belong to the same age group as theirs.
No matter how cute a boy might be or how pretty a girl must be, most of their characters are annoying to the core & I blame the writers & then the directors for it. I’ve picked a few annoying characters that were played by the child stars & these are those who have left me speechless with their pakka-pan.

The Khan Conundrum: What Should Bollywood Do About Megastar/Convicted Criminal Salman Khan?

Every so often a major movie star or entertainer gets into serious trouble with the law, leaving his peers, his employers, and his fans to deliberate about how to appropriately respond. Depending on the severity of the crime, the celebrity may receive a measure of public rebuke before being forgiven and welcomed back into the limelight, or in other cases he may be banished from his profession.
These sorts of incidents happen all over the world; how they are handled can reveal much about a given society’s relationships between fame, money, and accountability to the law.
Here in America, singer-dancer Chris Brown, boxer Mike Tyson, and actor Hugh Grant all paid for their respective crimes with fines, jail time, and community service, and then worked their way back toward public acceptance, if not forgiveness. In other cases, like those of athlete O.J. Simpson and actor Robert Blake, accusations of murder—even though unconvicted—were sufficient to end their careers and drive their lives into downward spirals. Justice isn’t always applied equally, and in some cases offenders get off scot-free, but on the whole Americans like to think that no one is above the law.
India’s attitude toward such errant celebrities, at least in the case of megastar Salman Khan, appears to be ‘forgive and forget.’ Khan’s 20-year career in the celebrity spotlight has been marked by frequent alleged crimes, many of them violent. He’s alleged to have committed domestic abuse against several of his girlfriends, to have destroyed the lives of others who got in his way. But despite multiple criminal charges and several convictions with at least three prison sentences—for hunting and killing endangered species and for a DUI hit-and-run homicide—Khan has managed to keep himself out of prison, and Bollywood is clearly content to keep him busy working in front of and behind the movie cameras.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan Rather than shunning him, Bollywood continues to embrace Mr. Khan for his talents and his charismatic appeal. And his audience does too: his latest film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan—in which he plays a self-sacrificing do-gooder—debuted this weekend to an enormous box office result of over $16 million, the 3rd biggest opening in Indian movie history. It’s as though Khan’s criminal history is irrelevant, that he’s a kind of movie god whose worldly actions are beyond reproach.
Now perhaps it’s presumptuous of an American like me to question any of this, to point out a perceived inequity that’s taking place in a country for which I have only limited understanding. I certainly realize that no one’s asking me what’s to be done. On the contrary, in response to my previous post on this topic I’ve received almost nothing but vitriolic emails and tweets from fans of Khan who, to put it mildly, make it clear that I should mind my own business.
To which I respond: it is my business. Salman Khan is a global star; Bajrangi Bhaijaan is playing in several theaters in my own Los Angeles neighborhood. When it comes to someone as famous as Khan, we’re all affected. Many who have written me would have us believe that Khan’s fame and fortune provide him some sort of immunity from his actions, that India is handling things appropriately. But I know India is better than that. It’s time for the Indian legal authorities, the Bollywood film industry, and the moviegoing public to make an example of Khan and finally, after all these years, to put him behind bars.

Harshaali Malhotra: The 7 Year-Old Actress Who Has Bollywood Abuzz

There’s an old show business adage, attributed to the early Hollywood comic W.C. Fields, that says “never work with children or animals.” What Fields meant is that kids and animals are scene stealers and completely unpredictable.
Actor Salman Khan and his fellow producers cheerfully and thoroughly ignored this advice when they made the hit Bollywood melodrama Bajrangi Bhaijaan. At various points in the film Khan shares the screen with sheep, camels, goats, chickens (cooked ones, anyway), and one very human little girl.
And it’s a good thing, too. The girl in question, 7 year-old actress Harshaali Malhotra, nicely holds her own acting in numerous scenes opposite India’s superstar Khan, and manages to steal quite a few scenes while she’s at it.
HarshaaliBajrangi Bhaijaan tells the story of a simple, religiously devout Indian man played by Khan who promises to reunite a mute Pakistani girl (Malhotra) with her parents. At its heart it is a story about love and devotion, though it also carries a strong message about the need for reconciliation between India and Pakistan. The contrast between the Indian and Pakistani cultures is often played for laughs, and is nicely captured in Khan’s character’s bewildered reactions to the young girl’s preferences in food and in sports teams. The vast differences between the two characters are underscored by the young girl’s worldly, common sense reactions—convincingly played by Harshaali—to the naïve Indian’s good-natured honesty, which often gets the pair into trouble.
India’s critics and film pundits have universally cheered the bright-eyed cherub’s winning performance. “India Today” proclaimed: “Harshaali Malhotra, not Salman Khan, is the real star of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.”
The Hindustan Times effuses: “The biggest weapon in director Kabir’s artillery is the angelic Harshaali Malhotra. She’s refreshinglingly unaffected. She seems unfazed by Salman. Harshaali has a heart-breaking innocence. For the viewer, it’s love at first sight.”
And Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan singled out Harshaali in his praise for the film with this tweet: ”That little girl is too too good! Just steals your heart!”
Born in Mumbai in 2008, Harshaali was only 6 when she filmed Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but she had already racked up a long list of credits in TV series and commercials. She last appeared on television with actress Bhagyashree Patwardhan in her comeback show Laut Aao Trish. She has acted in series such as Qubool Hai (2014) and Jodha Akbar and Savdhaan India, and appeared in TV commercials and print ads for brands including Fair & Lovely, Pears, Haier, HDFC Bank and Horlicks.
Salman Khan has reported that when he first met the then 6 year-old Harshaali she asked him, apparently without irony, whether he was going to make her a superstar. Khan was at a loss for words at the time, astonished by the little girl’s adult-sized ambition. Now, after the film’s hugely successful opening week, Khan can honestly answer her question by saying, “you’re well on your way, Harshaali.”
More News,
Surprise Surprise! Well no surprises there, this kid is the new peeve in town. Yes, we get it, she’s like all those kids who love to have a sibling younger to them but she takes her fixation to her brother to a whole new level & oh boy! Even though her younger brother is just an infant, I am worried about him because he doesn’t know he has a sister who’s obsessed with him *creeps*. As funny as it gets, there have been a couple of episodes that have ‘only’ revolved around how Saman’s parents are going to fetch a bhai for her & in the end, her aunty in fact her papa’s dusri biwi swooped in to provide her with one. I think when the writer had no idea about how to move the story forward; she tried to use a younger character not worrying an ounce about how annoying she will get for the viewers. The writer thought by using Saman, she will cute her way into our minds but she ended up annoying us beyond our imagination. Yes, the kid playing the role of Saman is pretty but then her character is any drama-watcher’s nightmare.

Baahubali' Catapults Toward All-Time Record Indian Gross

Now in its 13th day of domestic Indian release, S.S. Rajamouli’s fantasy epic Baahubali: The Beginning has mowed down the box office records of previous Indian films like so many hapless Kalakeya warriors.
As it nears the end of its second week, Baahubali has collected more than US$59 million (375 crore rupees), enough to eclipse Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3 and claim honors as India’s second-highest grossing film in history.
Baahubali 3
To claim the domestic box office crown Baahubali will need to surpass the $71.9 million / 458 crore record held by 2014 smash hit comedy PK, which also starred Aamir Khan.
To beat PK’s #1 all-time global box office record, Baahubali will have to amass over $118 million in worldwide collections. It’s at roughly $70 million worldwide so far, with over $6.7 million of that total having come from the U.S.. But to catch up Baahubali will almost certainly need China, where PK scored $20 million, triple Dhoom 3’s prior record for an Indian film release in the PRC.
There’s no word yet as to whether Baahubali will be granted import and distribution permissions by China’s film authorities. With its ultra-violent battle scenes, the film may run into resistance from the Chinese government’s censors.
Baahubali has benefitted not only from heavy theater attendance, but also from sky-high ticket prices. A friend from Tamil Nadu–where movie ticket pricing is set at a government mandated 120 rupees, or about $2.00–told me the story this morning about how he  he went to the cinema the other day to see Baahubali while on business in Bangalore. He was startled to see that the posted price was 3,000 rupees, nearly $50.00. When he arrived at the box office and found it deserted, he assumed that there had been no takers at that ridiculous price. But on further inquiry he was startled again; the reason there was no line at the box office was because there were no available tickets. Every single seat for every single screening of the day had been sold out hours earlier.

Who remembers this premature aunty? Again, I am only talking about her character because she was the one who not only gave a hard time to her step-mommy, who she was smitten with before she became one, but she also has a credit of going out on a date at the age of 12 years. I must say she has broken the records of all the teenagers out there when it comes to dating. Yes, she was having a hard time because her parents were going through a rough divorce & her step mommy just swooped in out of nowhere, but the way the writer tried to show her rebellion was quite questionable & should’ve been avoided. There were almost 5 – 6 episodes that were dedicated to Queen Sofia & her tantrums & it irritated me like anything!!!
Even though I am not following this drama, I did watch a couple of episodes to know what was going on in this Saturday night special drama & once again, we have a highly spoiled brat Dua who is giving her step mommy a punishment for becoming one. She is in louuu with an aunty who happens to be a patient of her father & then this kid has an audacity to say that her aunty should get married to her father & her step mommy can get married to her aunty’s husband. Awww, shooo cute, remember she’s just a kid who’s out on an innocence spree? Boo Hoo!!! The writer really didn’t know how to instill the idea of a husband/wife swap so she used this masoomiyat ka pitara to do the honours!

Bollywood Frets As 'Baahubali' Sets New Box Office Records

Just eight days into its worldwide release, director S.S. Rajamouli’s Telugu/Tamil language blockbuster Baahubali: the Beginning has become the first South Indian film to earn 300 crore rupees (US$47.3 million), crossing that threshold on Saturday. The previous South Indian record holder, S. Shankar’s sci-fi hit Enthiran, earned 283 crore in 2010.
Rajamouli’s battle epic, which stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati as a pair of feuding brothers who fight for control of an ancient kingdom, is the fastest among all Indian films to reach the 100 crore (2 days), 200 crore (5 days), and 300 crore (8 days) thresholds of international box office revenue.
Baahubali pic 2
50 crore ($US7.9 million) of Baahubali’s total has come from its Hindi language version, which is also a new Indian record for a dubbed film.
In India’s regionally divided cinema industry, where non-Bollywood films are often released in several dubbed language versions but typically earn most of their revenue in their home regions, Baahubali has proven that an all-India blockbuster hit can come from outside of the Hindi language Bollywood industry.

And that realization has caused a stir in the north. Bollywood’s producers and stars have showered praise on Baahubali, but some have also expressed the concern that the film’s success may signal a shift that threatens their own standing.

He’s the one I’d like to call a batameez bacha very frankly. He had a mother who lost her brains because she was drugging herself & then a step-dad who was just as batameez as him, or slightly more than him so obviously when he had to choose who to follow between these two role model like parents, he chose his step dad because he had an easy access to batameezi. His dialogues were absolutely annoying & so was his character.
Yes, he played the role of a servant but this boy has been around for so many years & has been a part of so many dramas & sadly, I have never seen him play an age-appropriate, innocent role. I don’t know if it’s his look or what but the drama-makers actually go overboard when they write down his dialogues. Yes, he is a very good actor but when it comes to the characters he plays, he can get annoying a lot of times.

Well now that I have spoken about the kids who have actually annoyed us, there have been some child stars who were often seen in the drama just to complete the picture & didn’t have much to do or say, which I feel is the right way of making the kids a part of the drama because the writers shouldn’t rely on the kids so much to do the talking & for taking the story forward.
That kid was not only a cutie but was innocent as well. Yes, he also got a little too smitten by his Ehtashaam uncle but then he never had to deliver some over-aged or pakkay dialogues. He was always seen around his mother without having much say in the situations & the writer didn’t rely on Roomi to take the story forward.

More News From Pakistan,
I liked how Maaz was always a part of every conversation Noor Fatima had when she was about to die but then the kid on his own didn’t get much coverage & he fitted the picture perfectly where he was always seen in the background & was spoken about as a focal point of his mother’s concern. I liked the way the drama makers used his character to show the love his mother had for him without actually relying on him to portray that. I think Maaz is a perfect example of how kids can be made a part of the team & still have their innocence kept intact.
They were a part of the second half of the drama & even though they were a main part of Shiraz & even Rameen’s life, they weren’t quite pakki as the kids mentioned above. Even though they were 3 of them, their scenes never seemed annoying & neither did their characters. I liked the fact that they all got age appropriate dialogues & contributed in a positive way in this otherwise negative drama & oh then it reminds me there was Nayla too, who was capable of speaking but never got a chance to chant a single dialogue throughout the drama & then by the way, the writer relied a lot on her to take the story forward & get back at Numair but then, as far as that masoom kid wasn’t pakki, I was fine with it.

So, this is my list of some pakkay & some kachay bachay. I believe as far as the kids are only used to complete the picture or are meant to be in the background, it’s actually ohkay but to depend on them heavily & to give them a lot of coverage is a wrong trend. Share your thoughts about how you think the drama makers use these young actors & depend on them unnecessarily by taking away their innocence & force them to speak in a way which never appeals to anyone. I really believe the drama-makers & the writers should cut down on the trend of using child stars because it doesn’t do any good to them & the dependency actually showcases the lack of ideas that the writers face while writing down the scripts & situations & oh, please feel free to contribute to the list if you’ve come across any such annoying kids in the dramas!

Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week

The coming Friday will witness the release of the critically acclaimed and award winning Richa Chadda starrer MASAAN. Given the super strong way that BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN is still dominating the box-office, MASAAN, may not make much of an impact commercially, but for sure it'll manage its due share of critical appreciation from India.

MASAAN and BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN

Last Friday's Eid bonanza, the Salman, Kareena and Nawazuddin starrer, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, went the expected and predicted way. As per the makers, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN saw collections of 27 crore on Friday, which zoomed to over 36 crore on Eid (Saturday). Award Shows are a time when all the celebrities know that all eyes are on them therefore they try their best to wear something that is sure to make them stand out in the crowd. It is unfortunate when these celebrities fail to choose the perfect outfit for themselves or even if they do choose something good their designers mess up things by not stitching the clothes in a manner that compliments their bodies.

Here is a list of five celebrities who failed to impress in the HUM Award function because of various reasons mentioned with their names:

5. Sajjal Ali

Sajjal Ali should be able to carry any look with ease because she is petite but somehow this look doesn’t work as well for Sajjal as it did for Urwa and Mawra. There were too many such dresses in the award show and this one was the worst.
Someone forgot to tell Hamza Ali Abbasi that this was not a costume party! According to him he was dress up as Jesus. When asked who he was wearing at the red carpet Hamza said, “It is not who I am wearing, but who I am tonight. I even watched  “Passion of the Christ” before coming here tonight. Haysus.”
2. Cybil Chaudhry:

Was Cybil Chaudhry dressed up as fashion police? She was a walking fashion disaster with those sunglasses and a very casual look.
Black and yellow? The combination does not look good and the dress is too simple for an award show. The styling also does not compliment the entire look.
4. Sanam Jung

The dress is beautiful but it does not compliment Sanam Jung in any way, It is too heavy for her.
Muqaddas might love Aatir a lot but even she feels he is hiding something from her. Let’s see how she reacts when she finds out exactly what he is hiding. There is a lot more surprises our way so, yep, definitely excited! What do you guys think?

More News,

Kabir was disappointed with Nida’s demand for divorce and upset because of the insult he faced. He decided that he had had enough of this family and that it was time to move away from them. When he sent his resignation to Aatir and said that he wanted to fulfill Nida’s wish, he was very determined. That was probably the first time he talked to Aatir with such a tone. In order to save his ungrateful sister’s marriage Aatir tolerated Kabir’s rudeness (which was very much reasonable after the insults he faced). However, it was a phone call from Muqaddas which made Kabir take back his decision. He still loves her, and that is why her request mattered to him. A flashback told us that Nida fell in love with Kabir at first sight and married him against her family’s wishes. Mujhe jo cheez chahiye hoti hai, mein usse haasil karke rehti hun. Referring to your spouse as “cheez” is just wrong! Have these two ever worked on their marriage? Did Kabir ever try to forget Muqaddas and did Nida ever let go of her ego? I think not.

Fullscreen capture 8132015 125300 AM

Muqaddas was definitely not expecting a confession of love from Kabir right now! For starters, she never felt about Kabir this way when they studied together. Now after getting married to Aatir, who she believes loves her like crazy and prefers her over every other person in his life, she’d never think of loving another man. She clearly told Kabir that he only asked for his help because she thought of him as a hamdard. I really have no idea how Muqaddas will react when she finds out about her real kidnapper. She thinks the world of Aatir. Finding the truth about him will shatter her into a million pieces.

Fullscreen capture 8132015 10457 AM

Remember Ruhi making a plan with Zain to kidnap Muqaddas again? Kya bana uska? Zain has been out of the picture for a few episodes and so is the plan. Meanwhile, Ruhi entrusted Akbar with the responsibility of gathering evidence, to convince Aatir that Muqaddas is not carrying his child. I expected that they would create false evidence and Aatir would definitely not believe them. What I didn’t expect was, that Akbar would cheat his dearest Ruhi! It was surprising to know that he ran away with 5 million rupees taken from the woman he has been completely loyal to all this while. After Aatir, the best faker award goes to Akbar.
A little more was revealed about the past. We got to see Ayesha (Muqaddas’s mother_ played by Madiha Rizvi) . Jahanzeb had always been in love with Maryam, but she loved Ahmed Ali, who happened to be Jahanzeb’s friend. Jehanzeb got married to Ayesha but could never forget Maryam, so he made excuses to visit Ahmed’s house often. He would try to talk to Maryam to remind her of how much he loved her and she would always tell him off. After constant rejection Jehanzeb decided to throw dirt on Maryam’s character and that ruined her life and Aatir’s childhood. We still have to find out why Ahmed believed Jehanzeb’s lie. Did he not trust his wife at all?

More News,

You have started your review in a different style. ..as if it starts from somewhere in the middle.. without any intro.. hope you not losing interest in this drama. Anyways..good observations.. I didn't get that Ashrafi part at all. When did Muqaddas get to know her name..when did she find her house.. Since when has she been going out looking for her. .Did I miss some part ..like was it shown about her finding out. The last thing I saw abt her was Aatir ordering her to be taken out of town. About Akbar.. he was a cunning man but he was much more sensible and a bit good hearted as compared to Ruhi. He tricked her to get a handsome amount but wouldn't have left if she hadnt thrown him out. I had hoped Annie's husband would play an important role in discovering Aatir's truth but so far he is just out of the scene .. The new graveyard guy could be a relative or even a spy..who knows.. perhaps hired by Kabeer or Adil. . Don't think the story would go more than 33 episodes.. Let's wait and watch.

More News,
I started the review this way because it is a well established fact that the acting in Muqaddas is fabulous and the show is gaining speed again. There was no need to repeat the same things so I got straight to the point :)
You are right about the Ashrafi part being out of nowhere. Looks like they missed a scene about it. As for Annie's husband, he really is out of the picture. He was last seen in Aatir and Muqaddas's valima. I also think that the show will have max 33-35 episodes.

Interesting Facts About the yet To Be Released Ram Leela Movie

It has been set in modern India and features an increased aspect of violence that surrounds the romance of the two eponymous main characters. The movie has elicited a lot of excitement and eager anticipation from the target audience as it is expected to have the right combination of music and entertainment. It is expected to make for an exceedingly pleasant viewing experience. Here is all you need to know about this upcoming movie.
Ram Leela Music
It would not be a classic Bollywood movie without the infusion of song sequences into the movie. The director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has not disappointed the expectation of the fans on this front. As with his earlier 2010 movie, Guzaarish, he has opted to compose the soundtrack personally. This is part of his desire to ensure that the movie has the perfect soundtrack to fully immerse viewers in the entertainment experience. He has even included a special appearance from Indian movie star Priyanka Chopra, who will make an appearance in a special song sequence. The soundtrack for the movie is composed of ten songs. These songs have already been released into the mass market. They have elicited a positive response and acclaim from music and movie experts alike.
The songs on the movie soundtrack run for a total of forty seven minutes. Their names are as follows; "Ang Laga De", "Dhoop" "Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun", "Laal Ishq", "Lahu Munh Lag Gaya", "Mor Bani Thanghat Kare", "Nagada Sang Dhol", "Poore Chand", "Ram Chahe Leela", and "Tattad". The soundtrack album was released on 2 October 2013 to positive reception from the album. Sanjay Leela Bhansali composed all of the music while the lyrics were penned by Siddharth - Garima. The soundtrack album had been slated for earlier release, but this had to be postponed due to health issues with Ranveer Singh.

Ram Leela Cast
Ram Leela has a star studded cast made of some of the best and most influential actors in Bollywood. The main characters who lend their names to the title will be played by Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The movie was a test of Ranveer’s ability to adapt to the needs of the movie as he was expected to learn some Gujarati insults and gain some muscle mass. The director, Bhansali had a gym put up on set to assist Ranveer to gain muscle mass. The location of the gym on set was also intended to ensure that there were no production delays caused by lateness. Ranveer Singh is a promising actor and the public have a lot of hopes form this movie and him.
The role of Leela within the movie proved to be a challenge for the director to cast. Kareena Kapoor was the first choice for the role but was unable to execute the role due to work related complications and, therefore, had to be replaced. Priyanka Chopra was then cast as her replacement, but this arrangement also fell through due to unknown reasons. Deepika Padukone was then signed for the movie to play this role in August 2012.

Ram Leela Storyline
It is hard to deduce much about the actual storyline as the director has remained tight lipped on the matter. He has made it clear that the movie will be an adaption of Romeo and Juliet set in modern but violent Gujarat. Incidentally, the majority of the scenes in the movie were shot in this location, but there are also some scenes that were shot in Udaipur at the Udaipur Palace and Gangaur Ghat. This Ranveer Singh upcoming movie 2013 is eagerly awaited as it will be released on 15 November 2013.

'Selfie with daughter' controversy: Bollywood supports Shruti Seth
Shruti Seth Facebook
New Delhi: The Bollywood industry has come in support of Shruti Seth, who was recently slammed and trolled onTwitter for calling Prime MinisterNarendra Modi's selfie with daughter initiative an 'eyewash'.
Speaking in support of the 37-year-old actress, Producer Raghu Ram tweeted, "Those who abused @SethShruti only proved her point. Selfies is not the point. Respecting women is. My irony meter just exploded."
Music composer Vishal Dadlani also showed his support for the actress.
"Seeing how some "brave" bhakts are "valiantly" targeting @SethShruti with filthy language & sickening, sexist comments. Wah #CowardBhakts !" he tweeted.
The controversy began when the 'Shararat' star dared to express her views against Prime Minister Modi's campaign on the social networking site. What followed next was a tsunami of hate tweets and trolls against the actress for the next 48 hours on the internet.
Though the former VJ deleted her initial tweet, she posted an open letter to the nation on July 2 explaining why she was against the campaign despite being a mother to an 11-month-old daughter.

Zubaida Tariq aka Zubaida Apa is a legend in her own right. Some of her achievements include:

– Starting her career with Dalda Advisory Service at 50,an age where most people have precious little professional lives left.

– Despite not receiving any professional training in cooking she has become one of the most famous and popular cooking experts of the country.

– Serving in various prestigious positions such as Head of National Foods Masala Division,Head of Dalda’s Advisory Service etc

– Running her own restaurant successfully along with her son
– Being famous for her home remedies (totkas) regarding various issues faced by females
– Having written a number of books on cooking and home remedies
All the above achievements are no mean feat by themselves specially for an elderly lady who’s suffering from Parkinson’s disease. However,of late I am seeing Zubaida Apa endorsing specialty products such as soaps, sensitivity relieving tooth pastes, whitening creams and hair growth sprays.Going one step futher, she has launched her own product lines Zubaida Apa Soap and ZUbaida Apa whitening cream.

I am sure these actions of hers are not based on ill intentions or intent to make more money. However, she should realize that she is no dermatologist or dentist to judge whether a product is good for skin, hair growth or teeth. She’s lending her credibility to these products unnecessarily and misleading those people who might buy/use these products thinking that since these have been recommended by Zubaida Apa and bear her name, they would be superior to other products.

This has led to and would further lead to loss of her credibility and might disappoint her fans also. She shouldn’t be doing this
LOL! Spot on Haseeb. She's trying to be a jack of all trades but she is sadly mistaken because no one can achieve that. It's funny that her own family members have dusky complexion but she is out there selling skin whitening products. I guess if she had succeeded in turning one of her own family members a bit gora, she might've earned a genuine vote of credibility. It's sad that where she should be teaching young impressionable girls to accept their complexion & be confident about their personalities, she is teaching them that being light-skinned is everything. She really has some avid fans & she is exploiting the trust they've put in her.

16 year-old Gauri Saki of Kellyville was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform at this year's India's Got Talent.
It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Kellyville 16-year-old Gauri Saki.
Still in shock from winning the Colors Australia Talent Hunt, the Kellyville High School student was recently whisked away on a trip of a lifetime to perform on India’s Got Talent in front of judges from the world of Bollywood and an audience or more than a million.
“I entered the (Australia Talent Hunt) competition, never expecting I would win it,’’ Gauri said.
“I still can’t believe I went to India and was given the chance to perform in front of three top Bollywood judges.
“The experience was amazing.”

“I still can’t believe I went to India and was given the chance to perform in front of three top Bollywood judges,’’ Gauri Saki said.
“For a long time I have wanted to organise a platform like Colors Australia Talent Hunt, to offer local Indian performers a chance to showcase the wonderful talent we have here,’’ Dr Mohindra said.
“All up we had about 32 contestants compete for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and some of the contestants had travelled from as far as Adelaide and Melbourne.”
The talent hunt featured three independent judges, including two from the Bollywood industry.
Gauri, an Elegant Creations student for the past seven years, is very passionate about her dancing.
She said she was treated like royalty when she travelled to India to perform.
“I was well looked after while I was over in India. The whole experience was like a dream come true for me,’’ she said.
From here Gauri is not sure where this experience will take her, however, she is still committed to her school work and ambitions of getting into medical science when she finishes her HSC.

We all know, how much our TV channels crave ratings. We all know how they have made their target audience specified i.e housewives and don’t care about anyone else. This point has been discussed by viewers and reviewers on review sites again and again. But other than then desperately grabbing ratings, there are a few absolutely annoying things they do:
1. Showing it all in the promos:
Whether it is the promo of an upcoming drama, or an episode promo, entertainment channels believe in “sab keh do”. The whole story of the show is told through the promos. We might as well watch them only! This is one of the reasons why I try not to see the promos, so I can at least enjoy the first episode. Ab woh bhi cliched ho tou phir…..
The episode promos are the worst. No matter how big or unpredictable the twist is, it is revealed before the episode and the viewers can go to hell for all the channel cares! Clearly they think that we all have low IQ levels, and we will tune into the episode after knowing the big twist.

  • Were 5000 kids auditioned for Munni's character in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'?

The teaser of Bajrangi Bhaijaan features a cute little girl who is lost at the railway station and it looks like the girl has won a lot of hearts ever since. According to the team, she is an important part in the much awaited film.

Getting the right person for the role was apparently quite tough for director Kabir and his team. Kabir reportedly auditioned more than 5000 girls before finalising on the young lady. It was quite a task for the team as they wanted an endearing face for the role of Munni.
Kabir and his team were looking for fresh faces and finally picked Harshali Malhotra for the role of Munni who comes across as really charming and adorable.
Who knows, the girl might soon have a bright future in Bollywood!
The Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the most anticipated film of the year is all set to release in Eid 17 July. Kareena Kapoor is paired opposite Salman in the film directed by Kabir Khan and produced by SKF and Rockline Venkatesh.

watch their shows? Is it necessary to reveal everything beforehand?

3. Allowing the same kind of story to be telecast more than once a week:

Why? Just why? Either all the script handlers have resigned or are extremely lazy at doing their jobs, otherwise, how could they approve the same kind of shows to be aired at the same time? Writers have complained, that these are the people who pressurize them to write crap dramas and do not let them write anything new. This is the reason our drama industry is stagnant. Nothing good came out after Pyaray Afzal. Something that would impress the masses.

Hum TV has improved a bit this time, otherwise their last batch of dramas had 3 doosri biwi dramas (Mehram, Tum Mere Hi Rehna and Nikkah). Nikkah is still on-air. ARY Digital had 4 of them!
Bollywood produces loads of item songs every year. In India itself, there are groups of people who criticize them, and then there are those who like them. Of course, we can’t deny the existence of Pakistanis who love these songs (and the nudes that come with them). Some of our film makers also appear to be their fans. The point is, that there will always be people who love and hate item songs, but are item songs really “bad” enough to be stopped? Let’s see why:

Firstly, they reduce humans to “items”. The words “item” and “song” mixed together give a weird image. The item that is roped in to dance to the tunes is mostly a woman, who will dress in the most revealing clothes, and seduce all the men around her with her moves. Her dancing talent alone wouldn’t even generate half the money. The rest of it comes from her boldness and being bold means to be as revealing as you can (or as the director wants you to be). While some women don’t mind item songs, others hate them mainly because they are demeaning.

Good time for female actors in Bollywood today: Richa Chadha

"Gangs of Wasseypur" actress Richa Chadha feels Bollywood is a good place for female actors right now as there are better roles being written for them. Richa, who will be seen in debutant Neeraj Ghaywan's Cannes-acclaimed "Masaan", said the industry and the audience have become more receptive to actresses, especially in lead roles. "It is a good time for female actors because there is greater acceptability. I also feel meaty roles are being written for actresses. I loved 'Queen', 'NH10' and 'Piku'...Great roles for women are there right now," the actress told PTI.
Richa, 26, is happy to be a part of "Masaan", whose story is set in Varanasi, as she feels it is high time films utilised modest backdrops. "It is about time that films with modest settings and real characters got made because in the past we have seen movies set in foreign locations, big cities... Now it is the time to see the more rooted stories," she said.
The "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" actress, who is known for preferring meaty roles over big banners and a film's commercial value, said she cannot star in any movie if her character does not make sense to her. "I will do a big budget film provided my role is substantial because I have to have fun doing a movie, I have to make sense. I am fairly selective. "You will be seeing a lot more of me now but every film has its destiny. I have done some films, which are yet to release," she said.
Richa will be next seen Pooja Bhatt's "Cabaret", "Main Aur Charles" and Sudhir Mishra's "Aur Devdas".
More News,
They are an unhealthy obsession. Movie makers, especially in B-Town, seem to be obsessed with item songs. Every other movie has one and there is one reason for that, the money.

Why would the film makers care about how demeaning women find item numbers, when they have a huge number of men waiting for one glimpse of the item girl? When they know they can force men to come to movie theaters through the 1-2 minute teasers of these item numbers? Moreover, won’t the rantings of the common woman sound stupid to them, when they have a line-up of women ready to dance to the beat?
They have so many reasons to continue making these songs, that they’d never stop to think how unhealthy they are for the society. There is a huge difference between literate and illiterate men. There are men who respect women and those who don’t. Showing women as objects will only encourage them to demean the opposite gender even more. The worst part is, when kids are seen dancing over these songs on weddings, while their mothers and fathers clap and encourage them.

Item numbers glorify every thing a stalker would do. Every woman knows being stalked is a frightful experience. Girls who travel through public transport have complained about men hungrily staring at them, whistling at them or trying to touch them. The lyrics of these songs are used to call upon the girls. It is a really painful experience for them.
