Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput Wedding: All you need to know

 

Bollywood's chocolate boy, Shahid Kapoor is tying the knot and the excitement is rising as the wedding hour is getting closer. The family is already at the venue and Shahid too has reportedly left from his home to reach Delhi in a few hours.

Here is all you need to know about the grand wedding of Shahid and Mira Rajput.
The groom
There is no need to introduce Sasha to the world, but for the uninitiated, Shahid is the son of veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azim. He has made his mark in the industry as an actor and an entertainer with various movies like 'Jab We Met', 'Kaminey' and most recently 'Haider'. The young star has had his share of heartbreaks and finally decided to have an arranged marriage with Mira a few months ago.

The bride
Mira Rajput is from a non-filmy background. The young lady is from Delhi and is a English Hons graduate from Lady Shri Ram (LSR) college, Delhi University. She has also supposedly interned with the UN.

The event
The wedding is going to take place at the Bride's Chhatarpur Farmhouse in Delhi. The party after the wedding is reportedly going to take place at the Oberoi Hotel, Gurgaon.
The wedding invite
Reports are that the card has been designed by Ravish Kapoor. The designer told Bollywoodlife.com Shahid was very specific about the design he wanted. The turqoise writing on an elegant off white card has limited use of bling or gold. The invite also has honey and tea in it.
The venue
Reports are that the wedding will take place at a farmhouse owned by Mira Rajput's family, while the after-party will take place in Gurgaon
Guest list
500 guests have been invited to the wedding with the the guest list mainly comprising of his close friends and family. His mother Neelima Azim, father Pankaj Kapur and stepmother Supriya Pathak Kapur will be present.

The party
The wedding ceremony will take place at Mira's Chattarpur farmhouse. The ceremony will be followed by a grand after-party at a Gurgaon hotel. The menu is going to have special variety of paan from Jaipur.
Post celebrations in Delhi, a grand reception will be hosted on July 12 in Mumbai for Sasha's industry friends.
The trousseau
Reports are that Kunal Rawal has been appointed to design 10 outfits for Shahid which will include achkans and bandhgalas. Designer Anamika Khanna will be creating Mira Rajput's trousseau. Reports are that the couple's wedding ensembles will be colour co-ordinated.
