Box Office: Top 10 Biggest Openers In Bollywood!

posterEvery Friday, Indian cinema releases a film at the Box Office. Some fail, while some surprise the audiences with its mind blowing performance and business. A film is predicted a hit or a failure on its first day itself. Yes, a film’s first day collections at the Box Office predict its fate.
This year, a lot of films did an amazing business at the Box Office and set a whole new record for more films to come. On July 17, after a long wait, even with its excellent opening collections, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is nowhere near to first spot in the list of biggest openers in Bollywood. No, we are not kidding. Don’t believe us? Well, then take a look at the list of Top 10 Biggest Openers In Bollywood! Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan released and its first day collections at the Box Office broke the record set by films before it.

And we see yet another film by Salman Khan in the top first day collectors at the Box Office. Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kick did a good first day business at the Box Office and managed to collect Rs. 26 crore net (260 million) approx. Salman Khan starrer Kick also featured Jacqueline Fernandez and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

After losing its spot to Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Aamir Khan’s PK by director Rajkumar Hirani now stands still on 9th spot. Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer film PK earned Rs. 26.40 crore net (264 million) approx. on its first day at the Box Office.

BajrangiBajrangi Bhaijaan
Bollywood’s Dabangg Salman Khan’s recently released film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is on the 8th spot. The film has successfully raced past the Bollywood film’s released in 2015. Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan had a brilliant star at the Box Office and managed to earn Rs. 27 crore net (270 million) approx. at the Box Office. The film also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Bang-BangBang Bang
Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer film Bang Bang did a fabulous business at the Box Office on its first day. The film managed to collect Rs. 27.50 crore net (275 million) approx. on its first day at the Box Office and landed on the 6th spot in the list.

SinghamSingham Returns
Ajay Devgn’s action thriller film Singham Returns had a very impressive first day business at the Box Office. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Returns was released in 2014 and the film earned Rs. 32 crore net (320 million) approx. on its first day. The film also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Ek-tha-tigarEk Tha Tiger
Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, directed by Kabir Khan, minted Rs. 32.93 crore net (329.3 million) approx. on its first day at the Box Office. The film, which released in 2012, also featured Katrina Kaif. The film opened to a really good start at the Box Office.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film Chennai Express had a fabulous first day business at the Box Office. The film earned Rs. 33 crore net (330 million) approx. on its first day, scoring the 3rd spot in the list of top first day collectors at the Box Office.

Action thriller drama by director Vijay Krishna Acharya, Dhoom 3 had a fabulous first day business at the Box Office when it released in December, 2013. Aamir Khan starrer film Dhoom 3 minted Rs. 36 crore net (360 million) at the Box Office on its day one.

Happy-New-YearHappy New Year
Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan was leading the list with his 2014 film Happy New Year by director Farah Khan before   Baahubali broke all the records. SRK’s Happy New Year earned Rs. 44 crore net (440 million) approx. on its first day at the Box Office. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Happy New Year also starred Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani.

Director S. S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali broke all the records ever set by any Bollywood film at the Box Office with its mind blowing business. The film overall opened to a brilliant start and earned Rs. 50 crore net (500 million) approx. on its first day itself at the Box Office and took the lead in the list from Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year. However, the Hindi version of Baahubali saw a poor response and only managed to pull Rs. 5 crore net (50 million) approx. at the Box Office on day 1.
