Manish Malhotra has always said that Dubai is his second home and on Wednesday (October 1, 2014) we realised why. The ace designer impressed the city’s socialites and fashionistas with a fantastic fashion show in collaboration with Studio 8 and Masala! The venue for the stylish event was The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina. Giving him company was his muse – the gorgeous Karisma Kapoor sashaying down in a maroon outfit looking like a dream.
The collection, as Manish told Masala! earlier in the day, all about “a new language for the neo-bride to express her joy, style and individuality in every moment that she is celebrating. It’s the smaller wedding festivities that lead up to the big day allowing the bride to set her own rules. This collection has been specially curated for occasions where brides can experiment and have fun with their outfits, be it at the engagement, cocktail, sangeet or even to take along as part of their wedding trousseau.” So stunning lehengas, stunning saris and classic sherwanis ruled the ramp. Needless to say, the event saw the crème-de-la-crème of Dubai high society in attendance with Studio 8 owner Sarah Rashid playing the gracious host.
The party then shifted to the terrace of the Westin where the Masala! Most Influential bash was held replete with fabulous guests, fun conversation and a great vibe.
